Detailed Athens & Mykonos Itinerary

Day 1: Athens

Welcome to Athens! Upon arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure, so you can relax before taking your first walk through the city.

Stroll through the historic Plaka neighbourhood, browse for souvenirs, or visit one of Athens’ many museums and art galleries. You can also explore Ermou Street for shopping.

For lunch or dinner, choose anything from souvlaki and Greek salad at a traditional taverna to a more refined dining experience. Later, return to your hotel for your first overnight in Athens.

Day 2: Athens – Cape Sounion

After breakfast, begin your guided walking sightseeing tour of Athens. The program includes the Acropolis, with the Parthenon, Erechtheion, as well as the Acropolis Museum and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Afterward, enjoy lunch and some free time in the Plaka area.

In the afternoon, continue to Cape Sounion along the Athens Riviera. Beaches, coastal scenery and views of the Aegean accompany the drive to the Temple of Poseidon, dramatically positioned above the sea.

According to Greek legend, Cape Sounion is associated with King Aegeus and the return of his son Theseus from Crete. Later, return to Athens for your second overnight. (B)

Day 3: Athens – Delphi – Athens

After breakfast, depart on a full-day trip to Delphi, home of the ancient oracle of Apollo. Set on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was regarded by the ancient Greeks as the omphalos, or navel of the world. Archaeological Site of Delphi

Visit the archaeological site and the Temple of Apollo before continuing to the theatre and museum, where important finds and offerings from the sanctuary are displayed.

Afterward, enjoy lunch in Delphi and taste local specialities and products. In the evening, return to Athens for your third overnight. (B)

Day 4: Athens – Piraeus – Mykonos

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Piraeus to board the ferry to Mykonos. After approximately five hours, arrive on the island and transfer to your hotel.

The rest of the day is at leisure to discover Mykonos and its distinctive Cycladic character. Wander through the maze of narrow streets, admire tiny chapels and whitewashed houses with flower-filled balconies, and explore the island at your own pace.

Visit Little Venice and the famous windmills, browse the boutiques, or simply relax by the waterfront.

As evening arrives, enjoy the sunset and discover the lively atmosphere and nightlife of Mykonos before returning to your hotel for your first overnight on the island. (B)

Day 5: Mykonos – Delos – Mykonos

After breakfast, take a half-day trip to Delos by local excursion boat. Explore the archaeological island and its remarkable ancient ruins, including the famous Terrace of the Lions. UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delos

Delos was an important sanctuary in the ancient Greek world and later developed into a major Mediterranean trading centre. Today, the entire island is designated as an archaeological site.

Return to Mykonos around lunchtime. You can choose from a wide range of restaurants, from local Greek cuisine to international options. Afterward, enjoy plenty of leisure time to continue exploring the island.

As the day turns to evening, experience Mykonos at your own pace, whether you prefer its cafés, bars, dining or nightlife. Later, return to your hotel for your second overnight in Mykonos. (B)

Day 6: Mykonos

Today is entirely at leisure, so wake up when you like and enjoy Mykonos at your own pace.

Rent a car or use the local bus network to discover more of the island. Swim in clear waters, explore quieter beaches and see another side of Mykonos beyond its famous town.

Back in Mykonos Town, you can browse art galleries and discover contemporary work from Greece and beyond.

Later, enjoy the evening atmosphere of Mykonos, with time for a seaside dinner or a taste of local flavours, before returning to your hotel for your final overnight on the island. (B)

Day 7: Mykonos – Piraeus – Athens

After breakfast, enjoy your final hours in Mykonos and revisit any places you may have missed. You might browse for a last souvenir or simply enjoy one more walk through the island’s streets.

In the early afternoon, depart Mykonos by ferry. After approximately five hours, arrive in Piraeus, where you will be transferred to your Athens hotel for your final overnight in Greece. (B)

Day 8: Athens – Airport
