Itineraries can be changed at the discretion of the cruise company and of the Vessel’s Captain in case of adverse weather conditions – depending on the vessel- on port authorities not allowing a vessel to leave port or in case of other extraordinary conditions. Which yacht will operate my cruise?
Depending on the departure date, the cruise may operate aboard the M/S Syrolana, M/S Kapetan Kosmas or M/S Anatolie. All are traditional wooden yachts designed for small-group cruising. We will confirm the vessel for your selected departure.
What is a typical day like?
Days are relaxed and shaped around the sea. There may be time for cruising between islands, swimming in clear waters, relaxing on deck and exploring small ports or villages ashore. Evenings often offer the chance to experience local island life at your own pace.
What is a cabin charter?
A cabin charter means that you reserve a cabin rather than the entire yacht. You share the vessel, crew and journey with other guests, making it possible to enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional yacht cruise without organizing your own private group.
What meals are included?
The cruise includes seven breakfasts and six main meals served on board. Basic self-service beverages are also provided. At other times, you may choose to dine independently in local restaurants or tavernas along the route.
What are the cabins like?
Cabin arrangements vary slightly between the yachts. As these are traditional wooden vessels, cabins are comfortable and practical rather than spacious, and most are arranged with double beds. Storage space is limited, so we recommend travelling with light, easily stored luggage.
Where does the cruise begin?
The yacht normally travels under engine power. However, the sails may occasionally be used when weather conditions, the route and the operating schedule allow.
Does the yacht travel under sail?
The current Ionian itinerary normally boards in Messolonghi or Astakos, with transfer arrangements from Athens. From there, the yacht begins its journey through the smaller islands and beautiful waters of the Ionian Sea.
